Crosstab is not an available feature for the E Business Suite 11i or 12. [Note Id ID 743882.1]
Oracle.Xdo.Parser.V2.Xpathexception: Namespace Prefix 'Crosstab' Used But Not Declared [ID 743882.1]

Symptoms

XML/BI Publisher 5.6.3/E Business Suite R12

Created a template using insert->cross table wizard.
When previewed in Microsoft Words add-in it is ok.
However, when run the following error is received:

Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XPathException: Namespace prefix 'crosstab'
used but not declared. at
oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XSLProcessor.reportException(XSLProcessor.java:806) at
oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XSLProcessor.newXSLStylesheet(XSLProcessor.java:571)

Cause

Crosstab is not an available feature for the E Business Suite 11i or 12. The Cross Tab Wizard form other builders is not compatible with XML Publisher delivered in EBS.

Solution

1. Use the Cross Tab Wizard that comes with the latest Desktop Builder for EBS by downloading and reviewing the readme of Patch 9811428.

2. Apply the patch in a test instance after performing a backup and re-test.

3. Migrate the patch to other instances as needed.
